At Tate Healey Webster, our commitment to children and families extends beyond the courtroom. We are proud to share that Jeanne T. Tate, Board Certified Adoption Attorney, was recently recognized by the Hillsborough County Bar Association Foundation for her ongoing dedication to children in need of permanent, loving homes.
During the HCBA’s annual luncheon — one of the largest legal gatherings in Florida with over 600 attorneys in attendance — Jeanne accepted a $10,000 check from the HCBA Foundation on behalf of Gift of Adoption, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to families in the final stages of adoption. The grant will directly support adoptions for children in vulnerable circumstances, ensuring they have the chance to grow up in safe and loving families.
Trusted by Florida’s Legal Community
This recognition isn’t just a reflection of Jeanne’s contributions — it speaks to the deep trust that Florida’s legal and philanthropic communities place in the attorneys at Tate Healey Webster. With five Board Certified Adoption Attorneys and multiple members of the American Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA), our firm is uniquely positioned as a national leader in adoption and assisted reproductive technology law.
Organizations like the HCBA Foundation and Gift of Adoption turn to Jeanne and the Tate Healey Webster team not just for legal expertise, but for dependable leadership in improving outcomes for children. Whether we’re litigating contested adoptions, navigating complex ICPC processes, or supporting birth parents through private placement, our firm is known for getting it right — legally and ethically.
Advocacy Inside and Outside the Courtroom
For Jeanne, and for every attorney on our team, adoption law is more than a career, it’s a calling. That means we show up where it matters most: in courtrooms, in policy discussions, and in the nonprofit sector.
Jeanne serves on numerous boards and legal committees dedicated to advancing adoption law and child welfare, and she’s regularly called upon to speak at national conferences and continuing legal education events. Her work with Gift of Adoption reflects the values at the core of our firm: building families, championing permanency for children, and offering hope to those navigating the complex adoption journey.
