Our Florida-based firm was honored to participate in the 2025 American Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) Midyear Conference in Savannah, Georgia, which is a premier national gathering of professionals advancing adoption and assisted reproductive technology (ART) law.
We were proud to have four of our attorneys in attendance including Erica T. Healey, Robert L. Webster, Kevin J. Healey, and Molly McCarthy. In addition, Board-Certified Florida Adoption Attorneys Erica T. Healey and Robert L. Webster were honored to be selected as presenters at this year’s conference.
Their session, “When It’s Not All Rainbows & Sunshine: How to Navigate the Storms of a Contested Adoption,” provided practical guidance on the complexities of contested adoptions in Florida and beyond, focusing on biological parents’ rights, the role of putative father registries, and strategies to preserve the record for appeal. The presentation reflected the firm’s deep experience in Florida adoption litigation, termination of parental rights, and adoption finalization.
