Tate Healey Webster is proud to announce that three of our attorneys, Board Certified Adoption Attorneys Jeanne T. Tate, Erica T. Healey, and Robert L. Webster, were selected to present at the 2026 American Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproductive Attorneys (AAAA) Annual Conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Being invited to speak at the AAAA Annual Conference is a significant professional honor. The conference brings together many of the nation's leading adoption and assisted reproductive technology (ART) attorneys to discuss emerging legal issues, best practices, and developments that impact family formation law across the United States.
For Tate Healey Webster, the opportunity to contribute to the education of fellow attorneys nationwide reflects our firm's longstanding commitment to leadership in adoption and assisted reproductive law.
What Is AAAA?
The American Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproductive Attorneys (AAAA) is a highly respected credentialed organization dedicated to the competent and ethical practice of adoption and assisted reproductive law. Membership is limited to experienced attorneys who have demonstrated substantial involvement and expertise in these highly specialized areas of practice.
AAAA Fellows are recognized as leaders in family formation law and work together to promote ethical standards, professional education, and best practices for attorneys serving adoptive families, birth parents, intended parents, gestational carriers, donors, and children.
As one of the nation's premier organizations focused exclusively on adoption and assisted reproductive law, AAAA plays an important role in advancing the legal framework that helps families grow through adoption, surrogacy, egg donation, embryo donation, and other assisted reproductive arrangements.
We are honored that several attorneys at Tate Healey Webster are active AAAA Fellows and grateful to be part of an organization that is dedicated to excellence in this unique area of law.
Sharing Knowledge with Attorneys Across the Country
This year's conference featured educational sessions addressing some of the most important and rapidly evolving topics in family formation law.
Erica T. Healey and Robert L. Webster were selected to present a plenary session titled "Unleash the Super Power of AI in Your Practice: Integrating Today's Technology to Ensure Tomorrow's Success." Their presentation focused on how adoption and ART attorneys can responsibly incorporate artificial intelligence into legal practice while maintaining ethical obligations, protecting client confidentiality, and improving efficiency. The session provided practical guidance for attorneys navigating one of the most significant technological shifts facing the legal profession today.
Jeanne T. Tate was selected to present "Jurisdiction in Multistate Adoption Disputes," an advanced adoption law session addressing the complex legal issues that arise when adoption cases cross state lines. The presentation explored jurisdictional challenges, the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC), and best practices for attorneys managing multistate adoption matters.
These speaking engagements reflect the depth of experience our attorneys bring to adoption and assisted reproductive law. They also demonstrate the trust that colleagues across the country place in our attorneys to educate and lead discussions on complex legal topics.
